Welcome to M.A.M.A.S.!


M.A.M.A.S. is a full-scope midwifery service based in the Washington, DC Metro Area. Our certified nurse-midwives offer prenatal care, birth services, well-woman gyn care, family planning, and breastfeeding/early parenting assistance in the comfort of your home. 

Who we are

M.A.M.A.S. is a bilingual partnership of two Certified Nurse-Midwives (CNMs).   Mairi Breen Rothman, CNM and Erin E. Fulham, CNM both hold degrees in nursing and certificates of nurse-midwifery from programs accredited by the American College of Nurse-Midwives, are certified by the American Midwifery Certification Board, and are licensed to practice in DC, Maryland, and Virginia.  Together, Erin and Mairi have over twenty years of experience as midwives attending births at home, in birth centers and in hospitals.   

What we do

We offer prenatal care, birth services, well-woman gyn care, family planning, and breastfeeding/early parenting assistance.  All visits are conducted in the comfort of your home in the DC Metro Area.

Why we do what we do

We are committed to providing women with holistic, safe, affordable options for their births and well-woman care, in English or in Spanish, regardless of ethnicity, immigration status, or insurance situation  (See MAMAS In Action).  We believe every woman deserves a midwife.
